April 11, 2017

SES:  April 10-14

Smirkus resident artists, Josh and Nettie, will bring learning to life, sharing traditional circus skills with our students in a way that captures young imaginations while building confidence and fostering simple, proven strategies for success.

Our students are receiving expert instruction in movement, juggling, diabolo, plate spinning, and more. Students will improve balance, reflexes and fine motor skills while learning cooperation in a non-competitive environment.  Families, please make sure your child wears comfortable clothes for movement all week.

Final performance in the gym:  Friday, April 14 @1:40.
Please join us!

PTO POSTS
  • Birthday Book Club:  The next Birthday Book Club is on May 18. On that day, we will recognize birthdays in April, May, June and July.  If you would like to sign your child up for this program, please fill out a form located in the entryway at SES and submit a check made out to SES PTO Birthday Book Club in your donation amount.  If you have any questions about this program, please contact Diane Lepikko at:   flushflud1@aol.com.
STOWE EDUCATION FUND
  • Iron Chef Competition:  Sushi Yoshi will hold Stowe's Fourth Annual Iron Chef Competition to benefit the Stowe Education Fund on April 12.  Teams from local businesses competing in this event will create and execute original recipes using any ingredients they wish.  A panel of local celebrity judges will rate these culinary creations.  The event starts at 8:00 PM but come early to enjoy food and to form a cheering section for one of the teams.  There is a raffle during the event with donated prizes and gift certificates from local businesses.  Proceeds benefit the SEF, a 100% volunteer based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enriching Stowe schools.
